Have you ever been out catfishing and no matter which bait you try, the cats weren’t coming out to play? Give a chance to these 3 catfish bait recipes that you can put together in under a minute. They’re guaranteed to get the catfish biting, and they’re all made up of ingredients that you can grab at the market or the gas station the night before or the day you go catfishing. Keep in mind that if you have some good catfish dip bait recipes or better still, some catfish stink bait recipes, they’ll work much more efficiently. These are just quick and dirty solutions.

1. Chicken Livers. They are the de-facto catfish bait for a very good reason. They work. The only reason to not use them is that they’re elusive, and it can be difficult to keep them on the line. If you’re willing to let that go, they’re awesome.

2. Scraps of Meat. Take the leftover meat scraps from your supper, toss them in some garlic salt, then freeze them until your next fishing trip. It may seem too easy to be effective, but it gets the fish biting.

3. Hot Dogs. Cut them into chunks, put them in a ziploc with some garlic salt, shake them up, and put them in the freezer. These are a great emergency bait since most gas stations and convenience stores carry hot dogs. Just put a tin of garlic salt in your trunk and you’re good to go.

Next time you’re in a pinch for some catfish bait recipes, give these guys a stab. They should give you a nice chance of catching some big catfish on your next time out. Best of luck!
